Ministries

There are a lot of activities going on at LWC.

Learn more about those here, or you can pick up more specific information about these activities from our information booth.

Children’s Ministries

Little Lambs

Newborn – 1yr

Through times of music, playing, and singing these little ones are ministered to with the love of Jesus.

Pee Wee Praise

Ages 2-5

Children enjoy singing, playing instruments, and dancing. Each week they learn more about Jesus and His love.

Sunday School

K-2nd; 3-5th grades

After worship in the sanctuary, the children head out to different classes for a church service that’s tailored just to them. Through the use of music, object lessons, video, and crafts, kids are taught to make Jesus the Lord of their lives.

Kids on their Knees

K-5th grade

Come and join other children learning to walk and pray in the power of the Holy Spirit.

Note: We do a formal screen, including a national and state background check, on each adult that works with our children and youth.

Women’s Ministry

Women need women. We need to laugh, cry, and share our joys and sorrows with one another. At LWC we come together as women, not only to meet these basic needs, but also to study the Scriptures and grow together in the Lord.  Once a month the women gather for breakfast and a time of sharing.  There is also a women’s Bible study that meets on the first and third Wednesdays of each month.  Joyce Wuthier teaches this study.

Men’s Ministry

The men of LWC meet together for a breakfast and a time of study the first Saturday of each month at 7:30 am. Our purpose is to challenge and strengthen men as they face the daily struggles of life.  We want to come along side of the men of LWC and offer them hope and encouragement.

Home Groups

We take seriously the scriptural mandate to “make disciples”.  We gear our home groups to fulfill this commission. Each week small groups meet in homes throughout the city.  In these groups we share our lives, pray for one another, and study the Scripture to learn to walk in obedience Jesus Christ.

Family Ministries

Intercessory Prayer

“I looked for a man among them who would build up a wall and stand before Me in the gap on behalf of the land so that I would not destroy it.” Ezek. 22:30

Our intercessory prayer team has answered the call to “stand in the gap” for our leaders, our members and visitors during the Sunday morning services. We pray for an atmosphere which will prepare the way of the manifest presence of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Luke 10 Ministry

Once a month, we go door to door to reach out to our neighborhood.  We share the gospel with our neighbors and also seek to offer assistance to any current needs a neighbor may have.

Praise and Worship

Praise and worship is a priority for us at Living Water Church. God desires our enthusiastic praise coupled with intimate worship. Our dynamic worship teams lead contemporary Spirit-led songs aimed at magnifying the Lord. For more information contact urban@lwcweb.org.

Youth – The Deep End

The Deep End is for all Junior and Senior High students. The Deep End meets every Friday night at 7 pm to hang out, have fun, study the Bible, and worship God. Come along or bring some friends! Everyone is welcome! Small discipleship groups meet on Sunday mornings at 9:15 am. Student conferences, retreats, and outreach events are also valuable tools we use.

International Missions

Weekly, at each service, we pray for the persecuted church throughout the world. We also support missionaries in Burma, Indonesia, Mexico, China, the Middle East, India and Romania, as well as the United States. We desire to have a world-vision for reaching the lost for Jesus Christ.

Open Door Outreach

As the day of Christ’s return approaches, the church will need to be an open door to those who may have never stepped foot in a church or who have fallen away. Open Door Ministry is an outreach to the poor and needy in Aurora and the surrounding areas.

The church collects coats, hats, gloves, and socks to give to needy people. As we offer help to people’s physical needs we desire to minister to their spiritual needs as well. The Bible states “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has appointed me to preach the Good News to the poor.” (Luke 4:18 NLT) We schedule outreaches in a local park to distribute the items we have collected and plant eternal seeds of hope and salvation found only in Jesus Christ.

Young Adults Group

Our Young Adults Group is a ministry to 18-30+ year old adults. Paul and Liz Medina lead this group at LWC on the first and third Saturdays of every month. This is a great way to meet people your own age. Childcare is available.

Bake n Take

Each Friday evening.  LWC takes snacks to the Emergency Room at Aurora Regional Medical Center. We want to say thank you to the hospital staff for serving our community.
