“See God has come to save me. I will trust in Him and not be afraid. The Lord God is my strength and my song; He has given me victory.” Isaiah 12:2
Each of us must develop a trust relationship with God. Trusting in God is an easy concept to talk about, but at times a very challenging lifestyle to live. As I see it, one of the main reasons that trusting in God is so difficult is because men are so flawed. All of us have found humans (and even ourselves) to be untrustworthy at times. Many people have tremendous trust issues because they have been so hurt by dishonest and disloyal people.
But in spite of our past experiences, there is something that we must know. We must embrace it. We must live in this reality. God is trustworthy! He always was and He always will be true to His word! He will do what He promises. He heals the brokenhearted, He comforts those who mourn, He provides for us in supernatural ways, and He forgives us in spite of ourselves. Like Isaiah of old, today in your life, declare: “I will trust in Him and not be afraid.”
