David saw King Saul lose the anointing of the Holy Spirit and he saw a tormenting spirit take its place. So, David prayed, don’t let that happen to me. Protect me from that, dear Lord.

Often, it seems like people want to focus on one side of God and not the other. Let us not take lightly His lovingkindness, His majesty, or His holiness.
But this is the only place in scripture, at least that I can find, where Jesus, in His own words gives us a glimpse of own His inner self – of who He is.
When life takes a sour turn, when prayers go unanswered, when you suffer, when a relationship is impossibly broken, when finances look bleak, when tragedy strikes … in those awful moments, Who is God to you then?
